But there is a little more to this lovely glass tea pot than at first meets the eye.  The Hario Chacha Kyusu Maru is designed to make the perfect cup of tea.  How so do you ask?  Well the secret is in the diffuser, which is a stainless steel filter that fits snugly inside the rim of the tea pot.  You might notice that the infuser is much larger than most similar designs, and you would be correct!

Large sized infuser for Large tea leaves

The stainless steel infuser is designed to be much larger than traditional tea infusers, because some tea leaves are larger than others!  Some of the finer blends of tea, and some of the most delicate tea brands actually retain the tea leaf in a whole form.  The tea is prepared in such a way as to retain the very best of the flavours and aromas within the tea leaf, without chopping or cutting the tea leaf down to the size that we are accustomed to in a tea bag.

Traditional Black Tea

Sure, most of the blends of black tea on the market are delivered in tea bags, and brewed in boiling water to extract the bold flavours that we expect from black tea.  Well you can do that in the Hario Chacha Kyusu Maru tea pot, and you will enjoy an excellent brew of tea.  But if we explore a little further, we might enjoy more about tea than we ever realised.

Green Tea, Jasmine Tea, Oolong and more!

Some of the wonderful green teas that are available on the market are prepared to have more subtle flavours and aromas.  These exquisite flavours are developed in the tea by the tea master who cooks, cures and rolls the tea leaves according to century’s old traditions.  Some of these teas are made from the whole leaf of the tea plant, and you can even see the whole tea leaf unfurl as it brews.  Accordingly, if we are to extract the very best from these traditional tea blends, then we need to know how to brew the tea properly, and this is where the Hario Chacha Kyusu Maru tea pot becomes the tea maker of choice.

Large leaf teas are different

And this is the secret.  Large leaf teas need a large infuser to allow the tea leaves to move.  The tea leaves float, they unfurl, they dance, they mingle, and they release the magic!  This is how to brew a wonderful pot of tea – you need to set your tea leaves free!

The Hario Chacha Kyusu Maru clear glass tea pot is a pleasure to use

You can watch as each individual tea leaf unfurls, and yields its delicate flavours and aromas. With this lovely little glass tea pot, you can see the wonderful release of brewing tea and smell the superb aroma of fresh made tea.

The best tea deserves the best tea pot

Making tea is a ceremony to be enjoyed, and with the Hario Chacha Kyusu Maru tea pot, you will look like an expert as you can effortlessly brew the best tea just the way you like it.  You can actually see when the tea is brewed just right, you can watch as the leaves unfurl and release their flavours, and you smell the aroma of tea that is brewed just how you like it.

Get the steeping temperature just right

Not all teas are meant to be steeped in boiling water.  In fact, just about all the teas should be made at slightly different temperatures, and over steeping is a sure fire way to make bitter and less than enjoyable tea.  In order to get the temperature just right, we recommend that you look to the Cusinart CPK 17 Perfectemp Stainless Steel Cordless Electric Kettle.  This modern appliance allows you to preset the temperature, such that you can select the optimal steeping temperature for your chosen tea – check it out here!

Hario Chacha Kyusu Maru tea pot is a sensory delight

Making tea is all about the ceremony, and this lovely glass tea pot is the best way to make tea.  The delicate construction is surprisingly strong.  I have bumped mine a couple of times, and even knocked it over without breaking it.  But I wouldn’t like to try that again!  Be careful with the delicate lid as you pour, and mind out for that elegant curved spout.  Otherwise, the Hario Chacha Kyusu Maru pot is heat resistant, scratch resistant and crack resistant.  You can pour boiling water straight in quite safely, and it can handle the sudden temperature change.
